At Melanesian Imports we take pride in our commitment to customer service and product quality and in order to achieve this we welcome customer feedback at all times.
COLOURS AND PLATING
When ordering, please ensure that you quote the correct codes.
All products have an eight-digit code, the first five digits are the product code and the last three denote colour.
In the description, the plating colours are described by the following abbreviations:
B/S – Brushed silver
B/G – Brushed gold
S/P – Silver plate
G/P – Gold plate
A/S – Antique silver plate
A/G – Antique gold plate
G/M – Gunmetal plate
R/P – Rhodium plate (a non tarnishing silver coloured plate)
C/P – Copper plate (usually brushed)
Rhinestone colours are usually described in full in the description on the popup image.
Not all products are available in all colours. Please check the product for available colours.
PRICES
All prices are quoted ex GST in Australian currency.
DISCOUNTS AND SPECIAL OFFERS
All customers are entitled to a 5% discount off any order if paid within 7 days of invoice date.
All special offers, special discounts and free offers are for a limited period only and we may choose to discontinue such at any time at our discretion.
All special offers, special discounts and free offers with specified beginning and end dates will only apply to orders received during that period. Orders sent beforehand and processed during the specified period will not receive the discount.
All special offers, special discounts and free offers are limited to existing stock and will not be backordered.
PRO FORMA ORDERS
Pro Forma orders are firm and irrevocable and must be paid with 14 days of notification to receive the 5% early payment discount. After this time the 5% early payment discount will not be available and the full invoice amount will be payable.
All proforma orders must be paid in full within 3 weeks of notification, after this time the order may be cancelled at the discretion of the supplier and a cancellation fee will apply ($20 or 10% of the order, whichever is the greater). No further orders will be processed until the cancellation fee is paid.
Payment must be made in advance of delivery by one of the following methods – credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Bankcard, or American Express), cheque or BPAY.
Your pro forma account entitles you to an automatic 5% early payment discount on all orders.
You will be contacted by phone the day your order is ready to be sent to arrange a payment method.
A pro forma invoice can also be sent on request by either fax, mail or email.
Once payment has been confirmed your order will be despatched the same day.
ACCOUNTS
We only consider 14 day accounts upon receipt of fully completed account application forms.
The 14 day account application form must be completed in full, including references, any signatures and guarantees, and forwarded to our office for consideration before any account will be authorised.
Applications must fully meet our credit conditions.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
By Mail pay by placing the payment details and cheque made payable to Melanesian Imports to: Melanesian Imports, P O Box 108 , CARDIFF NSW 2285.
By phone Call 1300 885 020 and quote your Customer Code and credit card number. We accept Bankcard, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
BPay Contact your bank, credit union or building society to make this payment from your cheque, savings or credit
RETURNS AND CREDIT
These are only accepted if authorised by us, the supplier, or our agent, and are notified within seven (7) days of receipt of goods.
Goods may only be returned by a carrier approved by us. A handling charge may apply to the returned goods.
PROPERTY AND DELIVERY OF GOODS
The vendor and the purchaser agree that all goods are delivered EX-WAREHOUSE and the risk passes to the purchaser ex-warehouse.
Delivery of the goods to the purchaser's agent, carrier or representative shall constitute delivery to the purchaser.
Property in the goods is retained by the supplier until such time as the goods the subject of this contract and all other goods supplied by the company to the purchaser have been paid for in full.
Risk passes to the purchaser upon delivery of goods to the purchaser.
Freight costs and in-transit insurance are the responsibility of the purchaser and are excluded from the price of the goods sold.
The vendor will, at the purchaser's request but not for reward, arrange freight and in-transit insurance on the purchaser's behalf.
GUARANTEE
All goods supplied are guaranteed for a period of 6 months against faulty workmanship. Claims for any goods that have not been purchased within the previous 6 months will be rejected and the goods will be returned in the same condition as received with your next order.
CREDITS, RETURNS AND REPLACEMENTS
Any short deliveries, incorrect supply or damaged goods must be notified within 7 days of receipt.
Goods will only be accepted for credit or replacement if authorised by us, the supplier.
Freight charges for goods returned under warranty will be covered by reply paid post.

Goods returned to us damaged due to poor or insufficient packing by the customer will not be accepted for credit or replacement.
No credit will be issued until goods are received.
Urgent replacements supplied before goods have been received will be invoiced at full price.
A credit note will be issued when returns have been received in good condition
Silver plated items are not guaranteed against tarnishing, as all silver items will eventually tarnish with normal use. Silver items are also adversely affected by hair spray, perfumes and body lotions.
Tarnished items can be restored to their original condition by the use of readily available products such as "Goddards Silver Dip" or "Tarn Off".
Faulty goods returned will be repaired if possible; alternatively they will be replaced or credited at our discretion.
All credit/returns will be processed and sent with your next order unless specifically required by a particular date. |
